Is Mohammad The Last Messenger Or The Last Prophet?

Peace = Salam = Shalom

Mohammad is a Messenger of God and a Prophet of God. The Quran was first delivered to him by Gabriel, and he in turn delivered it to Mankind. He is a mercy to those who know him, and he is the “Seal of the Prophets”, not the last Messenger, nor the last Prophet.

The so-called Muslims of today believe that Mohammad was the last and final Messenger of God, however, in the Quran there is not a single verse that corroborates this. On the contrary, it is stated that a Messenger will come to every generation, and will warn and inform his people, commanding them to turn to God and serve Him. But, as with the generations that passed from before, most Mankind will reject their Messenger and the Message he brings because it opposes their desires. Then when the term of the generation is finished, God will destroy them as He has done with many generations and people before. God sends the Messenger to give the people a chance, He knows the majority will not believe, but He sends the Messenger so that there will be no excuse that Day.

In the Quran, Mohammad is referred to as “Khatam an-Nabiyyin”, in English “Seal of the Prophets”. This has been incorrectly interpreted to mean the final prophet. The word “seal” has many definitions, but in this case the most appropriate is “something that confirms, ratifies, or makes secure”.  Mohammad is the “Seal of the Prophets” because he delivered the seal of all prophecies, the Quran. The Arabic Quran cannot be changed. The fact that Mohammad is the “Seal of the Prophets” does not mean he is the final prophet.

In the Quran, we are also made aware of generations and people before us who have incorrectly concluded that God will not bring out any more Messengers. After Joseph was killed, the people said God will not bring out from after him Messengers. We know of many Messengers who came after Joseph, a few of them being Moses, Messiah Jesus, and Mohammad, proving this belief, that Joseph was the final Messenger, completely fallacious.

While the Messenger is alive and among Mankind, very few believe the Message he is spreading. When he dies or is taken away, they feel the need to give the Messenger god-like attributes, and partner him with God, and in some cases make him god. In this process the actual Message is lost to the people, and the falsehoods proliferate until the next time a Messenger is sent. But by then, the people falsely believe that no more Messengers are coming, and thus, this person cannot be a Messenger. Any chance of salvation is lost, and the cycle continues…until the End.

Mohammad was not the last Messenger, nor the last Prophet, he delivered the Quran which seals all prophecy, and is therefore “Seal of the Prophets”. The Quran will be delivered by all Messengers and Prophets after Mohammad, till returns Messiah Jesus who will deliver the Torah and the Injeel and the Quran and confirm they are all in congruence. It is up to you to decide what you will do with this prophecy, whether you follow it, don’t follow it, accept it, or reject it. It is your Soul on the line.

Shalom = Peace = Salam
